Developing Your Personal Brand Map, Part 2: Earning a PhD in YOU

You Need Tools: Begin With a Survey

So title, direction, dimension, legend, distance, and labels are the qualities of a map. It all begins with a survey, an assessment, a careful and thorough examination.

Think of a construction surveyor. They stake out reference points and define boundaries that guide the construction of new structures.

The basic tools that I go back to over and over are personality assessments. The results are great tools to use as you define your identity, your influence and your impact maps.

Recommended Assessments:

  1. Gallup StrengthsFinder 2.0
  2. BrainMap
  3. Gallup Born to Build
  4. Discover Your God-Given Gifts

Come back next week to continue this series with how to create a Productivity & Identity Maps.

How true this statement is and I pray that everyone that has made it through 2020 will remember exactly how important self is to making it through any type of situation including the great pandemic.

Take your mind home don’t forget where you come from, put your shoes on, be ready to get the work done. You’re number one in your program. I want it!

It’s so easy to put everyone and everything before ourselves…I call that a comforting distraction. When you don’t know who you are, it’s soothing to experience wins by doing for others. People are the reason for every vision we can come up with, but if we don’t “put the oxygen mask on ourselves first”, trying to solve someone else’s problems can be our downfall.
