Are you ready for the Covid-19 holiday selling season? It might not be too late.
There have been times when I didn’t get my promotions together until Black Friday…or even as late as Giving Tuesday. Though I felt like a slug often, I still made the effort. Did I sell a lot? (Nope.)
What I did was break through the limitations I created in my own head. I stopped listening to the lies I was telling myself. “You don’t have an audience.” “No one is paying attention.” “You don’t have enough inventory.” Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Whenever I stop judging my own ideas, I break through.
No matter the outcome, I learned something. I set myself up for the next time. I exposed new people to my products. Or I reminded old clients that I’m still here. And I often sold something. More than I would have if I had done nothing.
Every time, the secret was that I leveraged technology. I found a new app…or brilliantly, I actually used a resource that I had all along. It was the momentum that I needed to get me out of whatever made me stop. So, whether you planned ahead or not. Use what you have in your hand right now to take advantage of an unprecedented year. We will all be trying to find socially distanced, safe ways to get some much-needed time with family and friends. You never know. We could be looking for exactly what you have.
